Tea of the Month - June

Tea of the Month was born from the idea of sharing herbal tea to nourish the body and the spirit. One of my goals for the new year is to nourish my body with more herbal tea. I personally drink a great deal of organic plant matter. A lot of people don't realize that herbs are full of vitamins and minerals that nourish the body.

June's tea is Gunpowder Green Tea. This month's blend is a profoundly green aroma, with a deep, well rounded tannic flavor. Our organic gunpowder green tea is a hearty, strong tea that is rolled in small pellets. It is aptly awarded its title because of its resemblance to the pellets used for gunpowder ammunitions during the 17th century. Originally rolled tightly to preserve freshness and maintain moisture during long voyages overseas, it still holds true as an unsurpassable fresh tea that is full of dark bold color and a striking taste. 

Organic ingredients: green tea

Each month will feature a new and delicious blend that isn't a regular staple in the shop, but it is one of my personal favorite blends that I use regularly. These can be sweetened with honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup. 

Steep 1 tsp in 8 ounces of boiling water.
